The examples of America’s falling standards continue to flood the media as we allow more and more normal simpletons, like Carrie Prejean, to enrich their lives with undeserved money and fame for our own amusement.
The Fateful Interview
I just watched an interview with former Miss I Never Got An Education in California, Carrie Prejean who walked out on Larry King because he asked why she settled her fight with Trump’s pageant. King pressed an issue longer than necessary, but I think he was trying to get to the idea that she can discuss her motive for settling a case without breaking the rules of the mediation. She refused to go down that road so Larry moved to taking phone calls.
Thoughts of her next porn film must have distracted her because she looked to one of her handlers off screen, got permission, and took off her microphone. King was baffled.
Before that occurred, she made reference to the liberal media attacking intelligent conservative women like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. I don’t know much about Michelle Bachmann so I won’t discuss her. But I know enough about Carrie Prejean to know that a comparison to those two women is an insanely arrogant presumption! A sex-tape-filming former pageant failure is in the same league as a Governor and member of the United States Congress?
Sarah Palin and Carrie Prejean
But there are similarities which can not be avoided. Sarah Palin and Carrie Prejean are both occupiers of a realm of sub-excellent common sense. They have voluntarily chosen to be subjected to society’s scrutiny for their actions and have earned every bit of negative attention they’ve received. Both have had 14 of their 15 minutes of fame more than they deserve. They have indoctrinated far too many Americans, embarrassed our countries on the international stage, written one too many books (one is too many), and received attention from too many “journalists” who care more about quantity than quality.
Our society needs to realize that we are wasting time on useless endeavors with people like this. They both whine about being targeted, yet they both act as hypocrites and quit their commitments. You don’t want scrutiny? You don’t want pressure? You want an unfettered freedom of expression? Go play Rock Band.
