[Updated October 14, 2013] I’m honored tonight to have been elected Vice President of my son’s school PTO. I’m the only dad on the Board and have been warmly welcomed.
I’m a proud husband and father who has spent more than 17 years in the world of advertising. My career path has traversed the media, agency, and client sides of the industry and I have enjoyed exploring the various ways advertising can benefit a company, a consumer, or a cause. These were the main reasons I started Arkside Marketing, a full-service ad agency in Southern California.
Too many people in this world wander about and have almost no idea how impressionable they can be. The “catchiness” of a jingle or the emotional draw of an image are all things meant to impress something upon those who experience it. I hope to educate people on how they are impacted by the world around them.
For that reason, I began ProActiveDads.com more than four years ago with the goal to impress upon companies and the media the harmful effects of negative portrayals of fatherhood. Dads are far more than the clueless breadwinners shown on television. If we want children to respect adults, we need to respect each other.
As a final note, please share your comment on every post you read. This whole experience becomes more fun if we share our thoughts and learn from each other.
